Pablo Prat Blog – Garraf
This a view of the Garraf Coast, more specifically, the area called ‘Curvas del Garraf‘. This stretch of coast is very mountainous and is located between the famous and beautiful town of Sitges and Castelldefels. Coming from Barcelona, the coast is flat and the beaches are long and wide, but past Castelldefels it changes abruptly to a rough and rocky coast. There is a popular road that will take you to Sitges from there, very curvy, but in some points the views are stunning. If you want to get to Sitges quickly, there is also a quite expensive highway that goes through the mountains and is much faster than the road. There is a small and nice coastal town called Garraf just a few minutes from Castelldefels and a harbor for shipping the cement produced by a big factory located halfway. Other than that, not much to visit, the coast is really rough and there are very few beaches or coves. You can stop at several viewpoints along the road and enjoy the views, like I did, and take some nice photos or just relax.
