Pablo Prat Blog – 2022
This is an allegory I made of the beginning of the then new year 2022. It is based on a triptych by Albrecht Dürer: ‘Paumgartner Altarpiece‘. I love this painting and the look of the saints on the sides (St. George and St. Eustace) and their pose. I made an oil painting of this scene some years before the digital version you can see, which I modified slightly. From a 2023 perspective, 2022 was not a bad year at all personally, so I might paint a new version for 2024 or future years…
