Badalona - Pablo Prat

This is the fifth landscape of the Spanish landscapes series. Badalona is a city located in the Barcelona metropolitan area. It is the second largest city that is connected as a continuous urban structure to Barcelona, after Hospitalet de Llobregat. Badalona has a nice seafront and some lovely beaches. I love the view from the highway that connects Barcelona to the north coast, looking towards Barcelona. On the background you can see some landmarks, especially the Torre Glòries (formerly Torre Agbar) and the National Palace of Monjuïc (further back) with its famous light beams. The cross on top of the Church of Nostra Senyora de la Salut lights up some nights, and adds a magical touch to the sight. Badalona is also famous for being home to one of the most historic basketball teams in Spain, the Club Joventut, so I also wanted to reflect the love of the city for basketball.
